You know those painful relationships that just won't end? No matter how hard to try to get away? They always do something to rope you in... Tears, repeated phonecalls, get pregnant... Yah. Those people. I'm sure there's a poem somewhere in this pic... I just haven't found it yet.
Photo is courtesy of Dave3of4, who allowed me to use a photo from his gallery. Thanks. ^_^ The rest is my own... Done in Photoshop, using only standard brushes, although I'll probably make some brushes and touch it up later. I'm not completely happy with it yet... but I can say that about everything in my gallery, so, here it is anyhow.
Took about 2 hours with interuptions, RPing, and taking stock photos. ^_^
**EDIT** People have accused me of copying someone else's work here.... I didn't. Sure, there's similar stuff out there. Bite me. And no, I don't want to see the work you think I've copied.
**EDIT 2** Bah. Messed with the shadows. I'm not quite happy with it yet.
**EDIT 3 (feb 1 2005)** I got some good feedback on this image and used some of your advice. The polaroids have been edited a little to give them a more 'natural' texture... I just adjusted the contrast and brightness a little on the polaroid layers, and, since they are actual photos of polaroids (the frame part at least), the natural texture started to show up. They're still a little flatter than I'd like, but there's not a whole lot I can do about that at this point. I'd like to get ahold of a higher resolution copy of the picture of the guy and redo the whole picture, but we'll see what happens there. Thanks for all your great feedback. ^_^
**EDIT 4 (dec 5 2005)** Due to the number of people asking to use this image, and the much larger number of people not asking and using it, I've put a bunch of ugly copyrights on it. I hate it as much as you do.
**EDIT 4 (March 11 2007)** Got tired of all the watermarks and people bitching about them. Bitch about the ONE watermark there now, and I'll go overkill again. So shut up.
That's so awesome... the images are literally jumping out.
It reminds me of a printer commerical all at the same time.

All my art has something that I didn't think of until I was working on it... The hands sticking out is this pic's random last minute addition. ^_^ I've had this idea in my head for weeks... maybe months... I like the last minute ideas best.
Kinda like those freakin awesome HP photo printer TV adds? (I think it's HP...) That advertiser agency is GENIUS. (okay, so I have an advertising fettish... >_> )
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
