Description
I found this beauty in Oneonta Gorge, near the Columbia River in Oregon. She's a Rana aurora, or Northern Red-legged Frog, which is a near threatened species. I'm happy to say, there were dozens of them where we were hiking. It looked like a lot of them were this year's offspring, judging by their sizes. This is the largest one we saw. After allowing some photos, she hopped off into the stream again.

Beautiful frog. It's sad how many frogs are threatened, endangere, or extinct. They are really quite beautiful creatures, and this is a wonderful photograph. I live your pictures. They are facinating in their diversity, and wonderful to behold.
